Hey, friends! It seems that in the midst of the September school season, the community I follow on deviantArt has been quite diminished in their activities on the site

So, to perhaps stir things up a tad, and since it's been a while since my last update, I thought I'd fill everybody in. Not that most people care, haha.
Classes start on Monday! I'm very excited, except for one thing- Books. I have five classes, and EIGHT books. Some of which are very expensive, thus verifying the dastardly rumor about the ridiculous cost of college books.
Anyway, to relieve myself from a few stresses before classes start, I took this entire week off of work. Connect week is going on, so I thought I might participate in a few of the activities (which, of course, by Thursday, I have yet to do.), and Tomorrow (Friday), I'm signed up for the Day of Caring, and I have to be at the meeting spot at 7:45am. Fine and dandy.
But of course, murphy's law has to wreck my nice stress free week. On Tuesday, while taking a leisurely drive to the coast to visit my friend Sean during his lunch break, my car decides to do it's routine sputter and die. No big deal, happens all the time. I wait a few minutes, as is customary, and resume my trip. But by the third death, I'm getting a bit frustrated. Finally I make it there, 30 minutes late, but no harm, no problems. Then, after a 20 minute lunch, I must begin the trip home. Once again, as I feared, the car decides to quit once more. Twice more. Three times later, I realize I'm not getting anywhere, and NOW every time I try to start it, I make it a few feet before it quits again. So, I maneuver myself off the highway onto a very conveniently located road with a nice wide open gravel area for me to park and simmer, full of frustration and hate for Annabelle, my traitorous car. I sit there for about 30 minutes, thanking God above that I was stranded in the only spot along the 45 minute drive that had decent cell service, and text my mother and sister for advice. Finally I get a hold of my Aunt Leah, who tells me that I should call my insurance company to see if I'm covered for a tow. At least I brought a book.
Long story short, three hours later and I'm never happier to see a large hairy man in a dirty truck come and lift my car 4 feet off the ground. Perhaps the nicest part of my day was the ride back, chatting with him.
So of course, I'm thinking, 'Ok, not the end of the world, this isn't so bad, I can work through this, no problems.' Kerry comes to pick me up, we head to his house, and all is well.
Until I check my bank account.
Eager for a replacement laptop to assist me with all of my scholarly adventures in the coming weeks, I place an order online for a new baby, shiny and happy. Of course, as I'm placing the order, I get to a screen, where, in the very center, it warns:
"Do not refresh page or push back, you may be charged twice for your order."
.....
Guess whose gimpy computer decides to freeze up right at that critical moment in my online laptop buying life?
Oh yeah, mine.
So I do the necessary procedures to get everything happy and wonderful again (You know, the routine beating of the keyboard and slamming my head into a few walls), and guess who gets charged twice. For a $650 laptop. Yeah. Me.
So, holding my breath, after receiving my receipt via email, I log onto my hp account to check the order. All's well! The first order was declined, thankfully, because of a wrong billing address. Ok.
But guess what? It still went to my bank account. My bank has this cute thing where it has to 'authorize' payments for purchases. This takes up to three days in most cases. So, although the money is actually not gone from my account, my available funds are now -$200. Awesome sauce. I call the hp place and the bank, and they assure me that within the three days time, my account should be fine. Of course, until then, they freak me out by placing a $20 fine on my account for being overdrawn, although the bank lady tells me that it should be waived when everything is figured out.
Of course, leading up to this, I was harboring a massive headache and stressing out beyond compare.
Oh yeah! And then, because my mother insisted that I should try to find a student discount on Microsoft Word, instead of getting it pre-installed on the laptop, I searched Google and found a super super cheap awesome amazing great deal that was targeted at college students. I bought it and then realized that you download it directly to your computer. Great. So in the midst of my trauma, add another on top of it that says I just paid $60 for a program that I'm accessing on my laptop that already has it. Oh well.
Luckily I got a email and it sent me to the proper pages and now my fears are quelled... I hope.
Oh yeah. And I can't buy any school books until my account is fixed. Tomorrow. Three days before classes start. Woo.
Until then I'm camped out in Kerry's house, where his parents have graciously let me stay for the past few days without complaint. I must admit, it's a little strange being here alone...
On the plus side, Kerry's room got redone, so now it looks incredibly spiffy and clean. The walls got painted a lovely blue color, and one wall is gold. It's bad-ass. I love that I get to spend lots of time with Kerry, at least

And I don't have to go to work on top of everything, that's awesome too, haha..
Oh, and thank Don for getting me addicted to Mafia Wars on Facebook. NOT. Haha, he's awesome, just kidding. But now that's pretty much all I do, play Mafia Wars. Sheesh.
Any suggestions on how to occupy myself for the next three hours? I already read my book, 'The Book of Lies'. It was pretty good

La la la, although I haven't been able to see Kerry for lunch for the past two days, waking up next to him is pretty much amazing. So I don't really mind! Haha.. <3
Anyhow. That was my bitterness for the week. And now I'm all better! How is school? How are things going?? I'm incredibly bored!! Talk to me! Or don't! Ignore me! I dunno!

Oh, ok, everyone else gets a cookie too
